Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 July 2026
Famoly ("Famoly", "we", "us") provides a service for sharing photos at weddings and events. Guests scan a QR code to view and upload photos to a private gallery; hosts create and manage those galleries. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions: info@famoly.io.
Data we collect
- Hosts (account holders): your email address, used only to sign you in (a one-time code) or, if you choose Google/Apple sign-in, the email and basic profile those providers share. We never see or store a password.
- Guests: your display name, and — the same sign-in options as hosts — your email address (for a one-time code) or, if you choose Google/Apple sign-in, the email and basic profile those providers share. This lets you reach your uploaded photos from any device. We never see or store a password.
- Photos & media: the images you upload, plus basic metadata (file type, size, upload time) needed to display and store them.
- Operational logs: minimal technical logs (e.g. error and request data) to keep the service secure and working.
How we use it
- To run the service — store galleries, show photos, manage uploads and quotas.
- To authenticate hosts and guests and protect accounts.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your data and we do not use your photos for advertising or to train AI models.
Where your data is stored
Data is hosted on Amazon Web Services in the EU (Frankfurt, eu-central-1). Inbound email handling runs in the EU (Ireland, eu-west-1). Content is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Service providers
- Amazon Web Services — hosting, storage, email delivery.
- Google / Apple — only if you or your guests choose their sign-in.
- Stripe — if you purchase a paid plan, Stripe processes the payment. We never receive or store your card details.
How long we keep it
- Free galleries: photos are kept for a limited period after the event (currently 90 days) and then permanently deleted.
- Paid galleries: kept for as long as the plan is active.
- Account deletion: when you delete your account in the app, your account is removed and all your galleries and their photos are scheduled for permanent deletion.
Your rights
Subject to GDPR and Türkiye's KVKK, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and you may object to or restrict certain processing. You can:
- Delete your account any time from the host screen (Settings → Delete account) — this erases your account and galleries.
- Export a gallery's photos from the host dashboard.
- Email info@famoly.io for any other request. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Famoly is not directed to children and is intended for users aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Photos of guests are uploaded by attendees of an event; if you believe a photo should be removed, contact the host or us.
Changes
We may update this policy; we will revise the date above and, for material changes, notify hosts by email. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
